I absolutely adored the charming decor of Sun & Moon Hostel, especially in the common areas. There were cozy couches and beautiful artwork that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home for senior travelers like myself. The hostel was also very accessible for older individuals, with well-maintained elevators and clear signage throughout the premises.
If I were to ask for one thing to make my vacation even better, it would be a bit more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were friendly, I would have appreciated a bit more attention and support in navigating the city and accessing amenities.

It was close to Las Ramblas and they had free wifi.
There was black mold on the shower curtain and cockroaches in the bathroom. You're provided one sheet and two pillows. Towels are extra, storing your suitcase is extra, and I would not stay here again. Maybe the single rooms are nice, but the mixed use rooms were really gross. Average age of the travellers was under 20, so they're running around screaming like banshees all night long. I get it, I was like that too, but they should really disclose the fact that most of their guests are max 20 years old.

The bar and dining area were always clean and well-maintained. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel was great, with easy access to key attractions and public transportation.
There were some communication issues with a few staff members who didn't speak multiple languages. The rooms were not cleaned as promised.

Great location, street coming off la rumblas and very close to metro train station.
Had to pay for top sheet and blanket as they were not included. Free breakfast was average but it was free so can't really complain. Rooms were very packed didn't have enough room to put your backpack near your bed as it took up all the space between the bunkbeds.

My short stay at Sun & Moon was a perfect introduction to the city. The location, just off the Ramblas, allowed for easy exploration of Barcelona on foot or by train. Plus, the beach was within walking distance! The hostel staff was friendly, accommodating, and fluent in English. I appreciated being able to change rooms without any hassle. The vibrant nightlife, great dining options, and even shisha bars were just a few minutes away. I couldn't have asked for a better location or experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Hi everybody! I stayed at this hotel 11-12 Jun. It was great! The location is just perfect -it is in the Gothic quarter (in 3 min from subway(metro) and in 1min from Ramblas - the main street in Barca)! Rooms are clean. There are big safe boxes for each guest in the room - free of charge. Cover and sheet - for money(3 and 2 euro).Reception staff are very friendly. Really nice place!

The hostel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the famous sights and attractions nearby. You can easily walk to Placa de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, and even Sant Miquel Beach. the staff at the hostel are friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay.
There is a shortage of warm water for showers, which can be quite inconvenient.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Comfortable Beds, Good WiFi
As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the great location of the hostel. It was conveniently located in a touristic area, making it easy for us to explore the city and find great places to eat, dance, take a walk, and even enjoy some shisha nearby. the staff at the hostel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They spoke English fluently, which made communication a breeze. the beds were surprisingly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of work. the WiFi connection was also reliable, allowing us to stay connected and get our work done efficiently. we had a positive experience at Sun & Moon Hostel.
The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was inviting.

It has a great location and it is cheap. There is a free internet connection included.
The elevator didn't work during the night and it was hard to climb up to the 5th floor. The personnel was sometimes not helpful at all.Due to the airconditioning I was freezing during the night.

The private rooms were singular and we (a couple) had our private key, so we didn't need do go through the hostel itself to get to our room. It felt like coming home in Barcelona :)
The 'continental breakfast' was poor, not much of a choice and first of all we had to chase after a couple of cups and wash them up....but we dind't find any usable plat to put our 'üan tostado' on it.
